P3D 3.4 Texture Problem

Featured Replies

I'm trying to find a solution too as I'm plagued with this problem like the OP.

I have a 6700k OC to 4.6 and since moving to 3.4 I get this slow texture loading. Even if I move all the slides to the left with the exception of ground textures it makes no difference.

Im using a 65in 4K TV with a Titan X pascal card and of cause the big screen makes the blurries more noticeable.

Im wondering if it's the 6700k not playing nice with P3D 3.4 as I don't remember seeing this problem on previous versions.

Sad thing is I'm getting use to it.

I have never gotten AF to work and have tried many different configurations.  On the Internet some say it is no longer needed for powerful systems like the OP has.  So, when you comment out the parameters that run AF (placing two slashes in front of the parameters - //), does the rendering get bad?  I've just never heard AF ever working for anyone.  Not with FSX or P3D anyway.  People say after they employ it that it is working great but a month or two later say they still have problems.

Spot on....it is an old FSX tweak. P3D is not remotely close to what FSX Acceleration offered in it's final days. P3D now requires a Direct X 11 card at min. It has also shifted some of the load further to the GPU than it's predecessor. So what is the recommendation for tweaking P3Dv3 these days? Simple.

1. Start with a PC/OS that is not overclocked and/or riddled with snake oil tweaks.

2. Install P3D

3. Do not tweak anything within P3D.
