What setting do I need to use to increase how far textures can be seen?  I don't see my airports until a few miles back and sometimes I don't even see the PAPI lights until almost touchdown.  What do I need to change to increase the distance?

Hey boats!  You can change your LOD_Radius in your FSX.cfg under [Terrain].  4.5 is the default

but keep in mind that if you increase the number is will affect FPS.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

What airports, default or addon?

As far as I am aware, the LOD Radius tweak won't work on airport objects or autogen. That tweak will only apply to ground textures. Airports have about a 10 mile radius draw distance hard coded into them from what I understand.
