I'm running P3D on a 4K display, should this option be on or off?

I turn it off as I notice more cockpit jaggies with it on. I have a 4k monitor too.

If you can't zoom out far enough, set it on. Otherwise, don't worry about it because it makes no difference.

I see, I usually have it on, seems like when I have it off, im too close to the front of the cockpit and can barely see anything...

I have a 4k 40in and set it off but I use ChasePlane to establish views that I want through profiles and it works straight away with v4 now.

Yes, this is exactly right. All this setting does is to determine how the 'zoom' factor is interpreted. Without WVA the zoom factor relates to the width of the screen. With WVA the zoom factor relates to the height of the screen. Because there is a default zoom factor coded somewhere (for FSX I think it's in cameras.cfg), the view looks different when you change the WVA setting. Because 0.3 is the minimum zoom factor allowed (again this is FSX - I can't speak for P3D), you may not be able to zoom out far enough with WVA off.
