Stack Hash Errors CTD

Featured Replies

P3DV4 is causing me headaches with stack hash errors. Stack Hash 9397,1211,f1lf,121f,4320.

9397 and 4320 come up a lot.  What can be causing these?

I don't have an answer Jim but I'm having the same problem. Something's broken in v4 but it's not consistent. Mine occurs anytime I try to change a menu item and then hit save. The only way I've been able to get around it is a reinstall (twice now in a week).....Doug

Are you using FSX aircraft?  That may be the problem.

The AVSIM CTD Guide provides information about a StackHash.  It is usually accompanied with an NTDLL.dll error.  Means you have too high settings for one.  Could be a bad OC too triggered by high settings.  I have seen, at least in V3, where an outdated FSUIPC module would cause it.  There is no solution that fits all but the guide provides some solutions that fixed the problem for many others.

Best regards,

Jim

Ok I'll lower my settings but what did I buy the Titan X for.?  Have FSUPC 5.01 so that's not it.  Thanks

Jim

The fsuipc was just an example.  In regards to lowering your display settings, that too is just a suggestion.  You may not have to lower them.  Again, since there is no solution whatsoever to this error that fits all, you have to investigate your system, your installation of P3DV4 and all of the settings and addons used.  Once I got so frustrated I reformated my HDD and reinstalled Windows and FSX (P3D was not out yet).  Turns out all I had to do was return the FSX.cfg and Scenery.cfg to the defaults and that fixed it.  If you look just in this forum where others have had StackHash crashes, it turned out to be scenery they installed that was not compatible with other scenery they had installed.  It is one of the most frustrating errors on Planet Earth!

Best regards,

Jim
