Arming Your Aircraft

Featured Replies

Hello!

Just took the plunge to the 64 bit P3D.  I noticed there was a folder named "Weapons" in the simulator. How does one arm their aircraft with those weapons if you are using the F22 F35 or F16?  Thanks in advance...

There's also the TacPack made by VRS Simulations for that (payware add-on).

Cheers

You can arm any FSX aeroplane with the Captain Sim add-on: 'Weapon for FSX'. Which may or may not work in P3D, haven't actually tried to port it over, but it might work. I suspect they'll get around to officially making it P3D compatible at some point, since they have said they are doing so with many of their products.

Weapon for FSX will give you bombs, missiles and a cannon, plus a selectable HUD gunsight on any aeroplane you add it to. It is kind of fun to play around with on things like the Milviz Huey and stuff like that:

Thanks guys.  I was curious about that.  I will have to look into some of those alternatives.

It's not yet available for P3d V4, but it works great in V3. There are dozens of Tacpack-aware aircraft available, including fighters, bombers and helicopters. There is also a freeware add-on FSX@War (also works in P3d V3) which simulates full campaign conditions:
