Is an update really necessary?

No offence intended, but the link is not there.

Okay I'm considering updating the products. But, I need to know, if I uninstall the PMDG products first, download the installers and install them again, is that it? Maybe I'm just too scared to mess something up. But maybe it's also that I'm too stubborn and rational to uninstall a perfectly working product, but hey, maybe that's just me :)

Tom,

Hi Tom, this is what I just did.

Went to the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs in Win 7

Uninstalled all three, NGX, 747, 777

Rebooted.

Installed the 747, tested it at OMDB. made a quick flight, no flight plan.  All was good.

Quit P3Dv4, rebooted.

Installed the NGX and 777 in the same exact sequence, one at a time.

All test fine, no problems whatsoever and now I have RAAS in the 747 & 777.

No worries.
