August 4, 20178 yr Does anyone know how to start the Premier 1A instead of using the "test info" window and clicking on the "ready for taxi" button. I'd love to start this plane manually from a cold and dark cockpit but the info that Carenado gives you is pretty vague at best. Any help would be appreciated.
August 4, 20178 yr Hi, From the test info, click Cold and Dark. This will set the throttles to the cut-off position. From there, you should be good to go. I assume the 'test info' is the name of the form. Hope this helps. I couldn't get it started until I did this, as described. One more detail: After pressing the start button, watch the N2 and when it gets to about 18% move the throttle up and out of the cut-off position. The throttles must be in the cutoff position at start and advanced to idle during the start. I have found that they can only be put in the cutoff position by using the mouse and they can only be advanced to idle using the mouse. The throttles can then be advanced above idle using your normal joystick throttle levers.
August 6, 20178 yr Author Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it!!! I'm really loving this little jet, yeah it doesn't have the range of say a Gulfstream but all in all its an great plane.
September 28, 20178 yr I had the opposite trouble. cant figure out how to put the throttles in cut off.
September 28, 20178 yr Hi @Mark Niebauer , Something visual. Maybe it'll help a little. 1▼ https://imgur.com/a/FmnGo PS: Oh, now that I have seen: in the figure there is a typo: where it reads "Shift + F8" read "Shift + 8", sorry. Cheers,
July 4, 20196 yr When I right click to cut off the mouse - you know like the visual aid shows - all that happen is that Prepar3d v4 kicks in and offers me the usual menu where you can select the mouse as a yoke or change views so on and so fourth but what does not happen is that the throttles are moved to cut off. Anyone else experience this?
