Make sure you uninstall your current version in windows add/remove programs before installing again. Cheers, Chris Brand
September 9, 20178 yr Hi Guys, A friend of mine is in the same situation (737 NGX for P3D bought january last year) but when checking on the previous orders page, the only file to download is the "737 NGX Base pack installer for P3D V2 or V3". Where the free P3D v4 upgrade is located ? Does he need to open a ticket with the PMDG support ? Any help appreciated, TIA Francois Francois Mavel
September 9, 20178 yr I think if you download the current installer, then run it, it'll give you the option to choose which version of Prepar3D to install it in. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
September 10, 20178 yr Unfortunately no: after decompressing the installer just stops and a window pop-up reads: "Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid Prepar3D(tm) installation location.". In this rig, only P3Dv4.0.23.21468 is installed, and the base installer is titled "for V2 or V3". Francois Mavel

You do not have a current PMDG installer. You have to get that from your account download history at the PMDG web site. The current version only works with v3 and v4. Dan Downs KCRP
