directx 9 help

after doing a reset on my pc all apps removed,. I installed from my disc,s fsx,. but when trying to start it to set up , I get error directx(R) installed on pc not compatible install directx 9.0,    do I find directx(R) and delate, and try to find directx 9.0 were I am not sure anyone out there no how to fix this , tried to download directx 9.0 but these seem for earlier versions of windows,any help will be wellcome

Do a repair of FSX and it will install it.

+1  How many discs does your FSX use?  If Acceleration is installed or if you added the 2 SPs, then

be sure to uninstall those before running the Repair option.
