The problem is Greg, that most people post to complain about a problem they are havng. The people who are not having issues are happily flying along. The very nature of the sim community can skew opinions. Is P3D perfect? No way, far from it but it is really, really exceptional. I quite often relate that the first time I tried P3D I sent it back for a refund. Then I kept reading about how much others liked it and I bought it again, only this time I didn't tweak it to death and moved slowly setting it up. Haven't looked back since.
