September 7, 20178 yr I have a full install of p3dv4 going on.. i noticed between my "clean" install and my dirty one that the dirty one's sky textures are a lighter blue (blue clear sky shot) for the test screen shot i was doing. I think i traced it down to the Texture folder.. likely the sky***.bmp files.. for instance.. sky_afternoon_0.bmp is dated 5/24/2017 on my clean install and on my dirty one its 1/25/2017 (older and different file size). I cant figure out what caused this.. as of yet i havent implemented EnvTex or Rex texture direct enhanced, though both were installed but no themes installed.. i also installed pta but no presets invoked.. the only other thing i guess might be Active Sky P3D and Active Sky Cloud art? EDIT: looks like the 6 or so cumulus files were modified too Does anyone know which program (or other one) may have modified these files.. and if so, i pretty much assume i should copy over my "clean" ones because these seem suspect. EDIT: my money is on active sky p3d Thanks in advance Asus Strix z790-e; 1000 watt evga SuperNova Plat; 14900k AC_LL 0.55 adp -0.050 253/253/355 CEPoff (CB-1pass 39200 80c, msfs peak 92,avg 60-78c, astrorender 95c,room76F); 64GB(dual 32) cl32 6400 at 6400 xmpII F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK, Asus Ryuo III 360mm; Thermaltake v51 Case; Gigabyte 4090 OC; VR-Crystal; Dofreality H6; Astrosite
September 7, 20178 yr Moderator ASCA could do it. You should be able to restore defaults through ASCA. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

The only ones that didnt go back when restoring in asca were Cumulus10,11,12,13,14,15,16 strangely.. the rest of the cumulus went back to a 5/2017 date, those stayed 1/25/2017, including cumulus 01 and 02 (those 10-16 dont exist in the original clean install, must have got put there by another texture package even though not applied). Cumulus 10-16 are also from ASCA, same as it doesn't for FSX. It installs these as addional non default textures to make up for the lack a variety that FSX/P3D can display by default. That's how ASCA has the ability to render so many different variations of cloud types that the default weather engine can't do. Don't worry about them as they won't be called unless your using ActiveSky/ASCA. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
