March 11, 200620 yr I contacted Igfly about my problems but recieved little support. I realize this may be the improper forum for this, but they're forum is a sorry excuse for a "support forum"Anyway, I seem to be one of the "few" according to Igfly that is having the issue of the disappering menu in FS9 (the entire menu bar within FS simply disappears, followed by a CTD). In happens sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after an hour or two. No single keystroke seems to trigger the problem. I also tried the beta dll files posted on their forum with no success. It's really unfortunate, because besides this problem, the module works fine. Is there anyone that has found a solution for this problem? Someone on the forum reported that this bug does not exist in previous version 1.05. Having just purchased the module, I only have access to the latest version, which seems to be causing this bug for others as well. I appreciate any assistance, and can't wait to get this working flawlessly. Thanks,Tim
April 5, 200620 yr I have the exact opposite problem: cannot access to the latest version TRIAL.Wanting to buy W&F I downloaded the trial from their site, but, after installing it, my Fs9 regularly CTD.The trial is still the version 1.03a, so I'm not intended to buy W&F if I cannot test the latest (or the more stable!) version to see if it works on my PC. I asked in their pre-purchasing support forum (that by the way is almost death) but, if the customer support seems to you very poor, the support for potential customers is absolutely nonexistent (on that forum a similar request about the update of the trial version is unanswered from december 2005 and the direct email I wrote them was rejected, so that I'm wondering if they filter the email accepting only the ones from customers that have already buyed their products). At the end unfortunately perhaps I cannot help you a lot, but: 1) if you want a previous version of W&F (the 1.03a, unfortunately not the 1.05) you can download the trial from their web site and then register it (as far as I understand the trial is the full version that you can unlock with your registration key, even if I cannot be 100% sure because I have still to buy it so really don't know how the registration works)2) I'm looking for the trial 1.06, having lost hopes that the pre-purchasing support by Igfly answer me, so I'll appreciate if someone know where I can find it (if existing!)ByeMarco
April 5, 200620 yr same for me, I installed the 1.03a trial and had the menu disapear on me, followed by a CTD. I am also hoping they will make 1.06 available for a trial as I would gladly purchase this product. I just want to make sure 1.06 takes care of the CTD issue...RegardsJohn

April 5, 200620 yr I too had the menu dissapear and the usual CTD when using the old 1.03 trial, so I placed a thread on their forum a few weeks back asking if they could make the new version avalable as a demo. As to this date there has been no reply !!!Oh well, perhaps they do now want my money!!CheersDrayton
April 5, 200620 yr When was the last post by any of their staff? I was interested in W & F for it's ability to do wing views in aircraft that don't have them, such as Mike Stone's.-John
April 5, 200620 yr I asked in their forum informations about the demo version, but it was "just for fun" after having tried to contact them with an email (rejected).I was (and I am) convinced I'll have no answer there. And the proof is this post (http://www.igfly.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=685): posted on 6 dec 2005, still to be answered. So please, is there someone that have the 1.06 version that can check if it's also working like demo (works only in the area of UUEE Sheremetyevo - Moscow airport)?Thank youMarco
April 13, 200620 yr Any word on this? Still waiting for the IGFly "support system" to respond to inquiries. The trial (still a CTD for me, too) is still 1.03a on the site, and their 'Updates' section says 1.06 is available. What gives? Is there a location to download the 1.06 trial somewhere?Anyone?

(Don't know anything about a 1.03a trial version) No permanent solution has been found for this yet. There is a Beta fix available on the forum (Top Pinned topic posted 12/2005) but it doesn't look like anyone has tried this, or at least reported on whether or not it works. I found out about this, when I went to upgrade my 1.04 which has no problem. Luckily I saw this on their forum before I did. Needless to say I'm still usng 1.04. It's my understanding 1.05 also has no problem, but unfortuneately is no longer available for download. There has been no further word on any status of this from since. I'd rather be using W&F instead of ActiveCam because of the superior exterior viewing possibilities; but I *need* to try it first. Thanks again for the comments.
April 13, 200620 yr "Alas, there's no way to *try* 1.06 without purchasing it apparently; having been dogged with a few lousy payware titles that I didn't investigate fully before purchasing, I don't want to risk another.:"W & F had pretty good press, but it sounds like a situation where they made an update and either can't or won't keep up with support. I'd say unless they offer either of the two stable versions (1.04 or 1.05) for sale and demo again, I would suggest people not purchase the product. It's a shame, because some lucky souls here were able to get a good working product--but "luck of the draw" isn't a good premise under which to buy payware. Hopefully at some point the issue will resolve itself. I guess the old adage "if it ain't broke...." applies here. That said, there's always a chance this is an issue that's system related. I wonder if there's any working 1.06 installs, and if so, what the specs are of those systems and OS's.-John

Wish they'd get their act together. I'd be out of business with some of the support models these people have chosen. Thanks again for the comments.

I've flown around for about 2 hours now, so far no problems! I'll continue later (Have to go out now) I'll let you guys know if I have any problems!
