October 5, 20178 yr Great shots. Eagle County is one of my favorite airports. I also am a fan of Telluride. Or 'To Hell You Ride' as the locals at one time called it.

HLJAMES Oh man...when I saw Red mountain for the first time it blew my mind. It was like no other mountain I've seen. The colors are incredible. I love all those old mining structures and ghost towns. I can't remember the name but just off the main road of the San Juan highway facing red mountain there was an old railway bridge elevated on trestles which just ends suddenly at the edge of the valley cliff. I believe it belonged to the mining company that once operated there. Crazy to imagine that wooden bridge stretching across those steep ravines in the past. I already plan on going back there next summer for more exploring.
