January 17, 20188 yr Good question. I do not use any 3rd party FW, will check with windows FW and get back to you. Just a question : why would the FW be a problem with RXP? why with P3D V3 and not P3D V4? Best
January 17, 20188 yr Because SimConnect is using network resources, so is the simulator, and I'm exhausting all possible causes!
January 18, 20188 yr Found two Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll files and authorized them in the W10 firewall. No visible change...
January 18, 20188 yr I'm not sure installing SimConnect is necessary otherwise rxpGTN_menu.dll.log file would tell. Nevertheless, you might want to reinstall it over, the installer is found here: "P3D3/redist/Interface/FSX-SP2-XPACK/retail/lib/SimConnect.msi"

March 29, 20206 yr Hi, I have purchased the RXP GTN 750 and the RXP GNS 430 some days ago and installed them successfully, as it appears to be. But, the problem is that under FSX, when I click on the addon menu in the upper toolbar, there is no RXP visible... I have other addons like PMDG visible but no RXP. I tried also on Prepar3D and the addon menu shows both RXP GTN 750 and GNS 430 so everything is ok. I proceeded the same way for FSX and Prepar3D but no addon menu in FSX, why ? I modified as advised the dll.xml but without success. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>as_connect</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>as_srv\as_btstrp.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Reality XP GTN Menu</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GTN Simulation\FltSim\64\rxpGTN_menu.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Reality XP GNS Menu</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GNS Simulation\FltSim\64\rxpGNS2_menu.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> The paths are correct. I have FSX with acceleration pack on a 64bytes windows 7. I repaired my FSX using disc 1 and 2 and then acceleration to be sure I have Simconnect. Any ideas ? Thanks for your help
March 29, 20206 yr @Rafa13 Hi, you've got this almost right except you're telling FSX (a 32 bits app) to use the 64 bits dll... Please review the RXP GTN User's Manual p26 for the correct entries for FSX.
March 30, 20206 yr Hi, Thanks for your reply, I changed with 32 and no better results. I had already tried with 32 without success but tried then with 64 thinking it could be the solution because of my 64 windows 7. I do not have the rxp menu appearing in the addon toolbar... My dll.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>as_connect</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>as_srv\as_btstrp.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Reality XP GTN Menu</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GTN Simulation\FltSim\32\rxpGTN_menu.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Reality XP GNS Menu</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GNS Simulation\FltSim\32\rxpGNS2_menu.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> Thank you
March 30, 20206 yr Hi, It finally worked, I had mistaken of dll.xml file. The good one was located here: C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX Rafa13
