Importing Flight Plans

Featured Replies

Can anyone kindly talk me through how I can import flightplans into the FMC from PFPX.Or where is a PFPX-created flightplan exported to i.e. which path?

I use PFPX for planning but it is not possible to export plans for use with the Q-400. I have used http://up2sky.dyndns.org/FPRConverter/index.php previously as this exports the plans to a .mdb format that was used with the Q-400 in P3D v3 Unfortunately, the Q-400 in P3Dv4 uses a .db3 format now and this FPRconverter will not export to that type of format. I hope the FPR developer will update his program soon!!

Simbrief has an option to export flightplans into the Dask

Simbrief is a good option.  Just copy/paste the text flightplan from PFPX into Simbrief, then let it generate the OFP (Operational Flight Plan) and you will have all kind of different choices for exporting at the bottom of the page.

Okay, just generated a New Flight, saved it, but when I go to Dispatch-My Flight Plans, it says 'You don't have any active briefings! Please generate a flight plan from the Options page. Yet, I just created a flight plan and saved it. What am I doing incorrectly?

EDIT: Please Ignore numpty goof!

Sorry, meant to say that FPR previously read the Nav data file as a .mdb file but now looks for a .db3 file.

Just tried Simbrief and it works great, thanks.

Hi All,

the FPRConverter now works greatly with .db3 files too. And also with the old format of mdb.

So give it a try. Download from the link in Gazuzzler's posting.
