Windows Mixed Reality Headsets

Featured Replies

Any thoughts in this forum about the windows mixed reality headsets?  Most people think they're actually augmented reality, but they're not at all.  MS has created a lot of unnecessary confusion.  Seem like 1440p or 1600p (samsung) resolution options from different vendors that are releasing today or in the next couple of weeks.  FlyInside forum says they're going to be testing them out, but I'm curious if these are real options for simmers.  Any opinions?

Thanks,

sg

At the moment they are pointless as no Sim currently supports them. However, steam VR support is coming soon and i guess that will open up the options some what.

I actually believe they will be a good option for simmers. They are similar visual quality than the rift and vive (if not better). If you are a simmer are just using the headset (and not interested in the VR controllers) you can get so of the MR headsets cheaper than the rift + you don't have to setup cameras.
