I Love Night Flying

Featured Replies

Urban night flying in XP11 can not be beat by any other sim.  It's amazing.  Especially look at shot #2 (the shot is small I'll admit to that - the forum doesn't seem to allow me to post larger shots they always downsize and get blurry).  I'm inbound for Santa Monica SMO - like real life the airport is difficult to spot from a distance.  Usually when flying real world you'd look for a small black hole in a sea of lights.  LAX is a bit easier to pick out to the SW.  Anyway I hand flew this flight IFR on Pilot Edge from ONT to SMO.  At 6000 ft (cruise alt) I was in and out of the bottoms and it was pretty tricky to fly IMC.  Anyway here's just a few shots that I like.

It's a lot easier to see now - maybe the lights are too bright at this point, but the realism is pretty darn close!

I can see why you are excited. Looks very real.

Could not agree more Ryan, regarding night lights in XP11. They were amazing to start with and with some free-be addons they are even better.

Nice shots,
