UK2000's Luton Xtreme airport scenery has become the latest in a line of new releases for X-Plane 11. The Bedfordshire airport hosts Easyjet's headquarters and is the UK's fifth busiest in terms of passenger movements. The XP11 scenery, announced in a post on the UK2000 forum earlier today, includes custom light and halo effects, as well as custom taxiways and AI support. The layout, however, is based on the 2014-vintage FSX/P3D version, and therefore the more recent taxiway extension and new buildings do not feature.

Drzewiecki Design's Warsaw Chopin airport has received a refresh for X-Plane 11. Version 2 of the scenery includes a variety of new features including an updated airport layout, XP11 AI compatibility and moving jetways at all gates. Some gates also receive animated elevators, and if you peer through the terminal windows you'll even see people walking around. The update does come with a price tag -- however, owners of the previous version are entitled to a 70% discount on the approximately €25 asking price. A full list of new features can be found at the Drzewiecki Design website. -
FlyTampa's Corfu has been released for X-Plane 11. Corfu is one of the most popular summer destinations in the Greek islands, famed for its short runway, dramatic terrain and challenging approaches. The announcement last night marked the latest in a line of XP11 releases from major developers, suggesting that Laminar Research's simulation platform -- which has struggled to compete with the MSFS behemoth in the past -- could be starting to claw back ground on the ESP-based sims. As well as a detailed rendition of the Ionnas Kapodistrias airport, FT have modelled the entire island of Corfu with custom mesh, hand-placed vegetation and 3D lighting. XP11 users will also benefit from sloped airport terrain. A full list of features can be found on the FlyTampa website.
