IPC is bound to improve to a degree, but it will be additional cores. Additional cores to compete with AMD's CPU's. In any case, more cores is the way it's been going for a long time now, rather than frequency. My guess is that for those that require additional cores it will be great, for more CPU biased software, not so much.

With P3D v3 and V4, the better bang is the GPU upgrade, and NVidia is expected to double the performance with the 2048 GPU line up.
