November 24, 20178 yr I'm still not sure if I'm doing things correctly when landing. Could someone tell me if I'm missing something or have my procedures out of order. This is the order that I do things when landing the 777. Have my back wheels touch the ground and then hit F2 to turn on the reversers Flare nose up, and then have f Wait until the plane slows down to around 80knots, and then tap the brakes to disarm the autobrakes Press the brakes until my plane slows down to around 30 knots disarm the spoilers Flaps 0 Taxi back to gate set parking brakes set chocks turn off all lights except for NAV lights start APU cutoff engines 1,2 turn off seatbelt signs open fwd/aft and bulk cargo doors open passenger doors turn off hyrdaulics GSX deboard passengers/unload plane Am I missing anything important here? I want to try to do this realistic as possible according to real world procedures. November 24, 20178 yr I would Turn on the APU during taxi, That way-like in most real world cases you can cut the engines soon after parking. ( My father flies the 767-200, that's how they do it anyways) David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
November 24, 20178 yr Sounds pretty reasonable. Why not check the FCOM Normal Procedures section which will tell you precisely what needs doing? In addition to starting the APU on the taxi in, it is usual to clean up some other items (landing and strobe lights off, weather radar off, TCAS to standby etc) as well which are normally dealt with in the After Landing checklist. November 24, 20178 yr Sounds more or less right and pretty much what most people would do generally, with some variations depending on runway condition. I get the landing lights off when leaving the runway, unless there is a reason to want to remain conspicuous and put the taxi lights on. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
