April 14, 200620 yr Hello there.Check out OAG which is a real-world route-information & flight information tool:http://www.oag.com/NorthAmerica/airlineand...destination.asp Just type in the name of the airport you want to fly from and it spits out all the destinations you can fly to from there. Best thing to do is grab your atlas, pick someplace vague and see what destinations come up. If you then want real-life flight info (aircraft-type, times etc) go to Amadeus:http://www.amadeus.net/home/new/index.htmUse them both together and u can have a lot of fun..flying *real* routes :) Above two links are best for the rest of the world, for US flights FlightAware is best:http://flightaware.com/
April 15, 200620 yr Just wanted to stop in and thank everyone so much again for listing these great links. I did not expect so many. I also want to wish everyone a Happy Easter here in this thread.
April 15, 200620 yr >One thing to try--get Holger's mesh for the Alps, and try>some of the city pairs there, such as Innsbruck to Milan, or>Geneve to St. Moritz, or Sion to Interlaken. That would open>up some challenging flights in excellent terrain with the>variety of landscape the area is noted for. I don't tire of>flying around Holger's scenery, especially if I choose>aircraft that have to fly through the mountain passes vs. over>them :)>>-Johnyea, I agree... I think some of the best scenery is the mountainous rugged areas like the Alps, etc.. Innbruck toInterlaken is a good flight. Both airports are quite scenicareas, with good terrain for the flight. I also like some of the mountain areas in the US. IE: Many areas of Montana are good. Try flying out of Thompsons Field Montana, and cruisethe area. Many lakes around if you take a float.. For a kindacool airport towards the east coast, try Mountain Air NC. "2NC0"It's up on a mountain pretty high. In real life, the runway is uneven elevation, and kinda wavy...Pretty hairy... It's flat in FS though... Costa Rica is good. In the country just south of Costa Rica, there is another airport high on a mountain. It has a lake and falls down at the base of the mountain. I fergot the number, but could find it later... I think I have a flight setupnot too far from there in Costa Rica. MK Mark Keith

April 17, 200620 yr Thanks Earl,I didn't keep any logs or anything, I took a few snaps along the way. Got home from work and had an hour or two to kill, and pulled out the map and went.. "Where do you want to go today?" Some times it was boring, but it's mostly about the take-offs and landings anyway. I became very familiar with that airplane, and saw some interesting things along the way.Brett:
