Rick Piper's Hawker Siddeley HS.748 RELEASED!

Featured Replies

Hi Rick,Can you divulge Fraser's e-mail address in a private message for example? I'd rather contact him that way than register on a board just to get his attention :)I do understand if he'd rather keep his e-mail private though, in which case I hope he visits this thread to read about the 115v gauge issue.

Hi Rick,THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. :)What a wonderful plane! The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to get the airspeed lock to work. No matter where I clicked on that knob it would engage the height hold function. I'm know I'm probably missing something very simple. Sidney Schwartz KPDX

Hi JanneI have tested the sequence you said is wrong 6 times now and it works perfectly every time for me.Fraser does not give out his e mail address and you must use my support forum.Have you at least taken the time to read the postings on my support section ?.I cannot bring the whole thing here just for you mate.I'm guessing you have a key repeat problem as mentioned by someone on my site.RegardsRick

No problem, I do understand Fraser's stand on keeping his e-mail address private. And yes, I'm keeping an eye on the support thread but so far no one's mentioned the problem I outlined.Just to make sure, when you disconnected the last inverter in line (inverter 1), did you first flip the "transfer" switch and then the "on / off" switch? That is what causes the problem for me (amp / volt needles won't drop to 0, even though there's no inverter online) - if I flip the "on / off" first, then the transfer (although it doesn't really matter at that point, since inverter 2 is offline already), it works just like it should.

Hi JanneIf you take the time to post the question i am 100% sure Fraser will answer your question as soon as he sees it.Honestly you won't be fatally injured by the effort involved ;o)busy trying to keep 1700 people happy that dowloaded the base pack only & can't see it says file 1 of 3 and wondering why they can't fly the 748 model :-yellow1RegardsRick

I noticed the instructions to download all three files at every turn during the download / installation process, so I was pretty amazed to see that so many downloaded just the base pack. Sure, the default assumption with *most* releases is that you get a basic, working plane in one package, but when it basically says "Download all three or it won't work" at every turn, how can you get it wrong? :D Anyway.. I guess this means no chance of that planned vacation for you and the crew? Don't burn yourself out :)As for registering and posting at the CBFS forum, thanks for the offer but I'll pass (and no, it's nothing against you or the others over there ;) ). I decided a long time ago not to sign up at every single discussion forum out there simply to post one or two messages. If I did, I'd have a truckload of inactive accounts all over the place. Just a personal quirk of mine.In any case, the 115v gauge problem I noted is not a show stopper for me (or anyone else for that matter) and I'm sure there are far more urgent things to take care of. It's more of a polishing issue, assuming there's anything wrong with the gauge to begin with. If I'm the only one who can get the gauge to fiz out it's hardly even a polishing issue :D

I made a flight without lights out of JFK. As I flew into NY City, it was pretty blurry. I reset the scenery, and everything came back, no blurries, and I kept on flying from that point. Maybe this will help some of you.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)
