This problem relates to P3D v3.4 but is probably the same with FSX etc.

Having just flown Concorde from Honolulu to Auckland I landed on 23L but my moving map software (EFB) doesn’t show the parallel runway (05L/23R) as both ends are closed for takeoff and landing. This is using the default AFCAD.

So effectively it’s used as a taxiway. Using ADE how easy is it to change the runway to a taxiway so EFB can correctly show it? Currently it’s not shown at all so the map looks odd.

Perhaps create a taxiway and overlay it on 05L/23R? A quick google (I'm not well versed in using ADE) didn't appear to show anything relating to changing the status of a runway, although they can be modified in some ways.

Thanks Mark. Doesn’t appear possible to convert runway to taxiway. My only concern about creating a new taxiway is whether the taxi points need binding to the taxiway. That could be a lot of work.

I googled NZAA and P3D scenery and found a good site where someone has done the work for me. I’ll add it tomorrow and report back.

Ray, I am not sure whether you are into addon scenery, but the Orbx North Island is great and is on sale. The default NZAA on there has everything configured correctly.

I don’t have any Orbx stuff apart from FTX Global as flights in Concorde are too fast and high to appreciate the views. I have plenty of addon airports but no VFR stuff. Thanks all the same. 

The easiest way is to download Ray Smith's NZAA.  Open it in ADE and change all the Taxi Links to Yes.  Compile and Save.  If you have trouble let me know.  You can load Ray's NZAA into P3Dv3 and it will work.  You may have to make the Taxi Link change I mentioned above if some of the taxiways don't show correctly. Let me know if you need any help.

Do you have a link for that scenery? I searched AvSim for NZAA but found nothing.

UPDATE: Found it in AFCAD section in AvSim. Whether it's any different to the one I found elsewhere I'll soon find out.

I've added the modified BGL for NZAA and the airport looks fine now albeit using default scenery.
