January 4, 20188 yr In honor of it snowing a few inches in Savannah today (something it only does about once a couple decades), I took a short flight from Savannah (KSAV) to Hilton Head (KXHD) tonight in weather set to heavy snow (only snow setting available right now) in the Cub. Tower would not give me clearance to taxi to runway as it was IFR only so I had to ignore them. Same thing when landing at KXHD, no clearance to land as it was IFR only. I did get a route to parking though after landing. Aside from those things, it was a cool flight and took a little getting used to in heavy snow. James
