May 16, 200521 yr theres no mouse scrolling without specific utilities to make it possible - either Active Camera (which I use) or Flight1's free view util. Personally, I wouldn't use VC's without mouse panning now. Panning with the hat is too slow and clunky. Btw, you can snap back to the forward view in FS VCs too - just hit the space bar (or assign the function to yr key/button of choice). You can also set up "locked" views as you'd like in the VC and snap to those too...
May 16, 200521 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Strange, in my experience mouse scrolling seems slow and jerky but POV seems to work equally well in FS9 and FLY 2. I'll give the spacebar tip a try, thanx. Right now I'm defragging after installing an ATR-42 for FLY.Best Regards, Donny:-wave
May 17, 200521 yr Author > I actually prefer high quality>pannable/scrollable 2D cockpits, For a larger cockpit, such as the new ATR42 for FLY, I also prefer 2D's. On the other hand, when it comes to general aviation flight, my favorite of all time, is a VC with sliding canopy. In fact, I'm very adaptable to different sims, and will reload FLYII just for the new ATR42. The crisp textures and interior detail of the cockpit, is truely outstanding, just as their previous P-51D Mustang.L.Adamson
May 17, 200521 yr Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!If you think it looks good, wait till you hear it!!! I can feel the air whooshing from my subwoofer in exterior view. The methodology used by ROTW to implement 3/4 views with functioning instruments requires a DLL file, and the developer that completed it wanted it to be usable on Macs so it's not incorporated. The checklist accessible by clicking the "F" in the registration number on the panel was released as a separate DLL file, maybe 3/4 DLLs might be released. But even without them, what a magnificent bird...Best Regards, Donny:-wave
