January 29, 20188 yr A friend of mine recently switched over to P3Dv4.1 from FSX. He has noticed that when he shifts his view (he uses TrackIR) from outside the VC to the inside he sees a significant frame rate drop -- something like 30 to 19 or so. He did not see this effect in FSX. I don't have P3D so would be interested to hear if anyone else has noticed similar changes in frame rate from outside to inside the Lear. Oddly, he does not notice this frame rate drop with any other a/c. I don't think my friend has fully set up anti-aliasing in P3D, so perhaps that would make a difference given the detail in the Lear VC. Thanks for any ideas, Al
January 29, 20188 yr I'm in P3Dv4 and I have to say I flit from VC to outside views of all descriptions and back again. I have NEVER seen a frame rate drop of any kind! EVER. In fact, when I had FSX my experience was exactly the same. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
January 29, 20188 yr Hi Al, I've used the Lear in v3 and v4 - it's an extremely frame rate friendly aircraft on all fronts - no drop for me switching views... Did he try both with the default gauges - and then with GTN ? I've never really used the default gauges... Try a complete removal and reinstall - latest version ? Regards, Scott
January 29, 20188 yr Oh, did I mention I don't have the frame counter on? The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

Regards, Scott Hi Scott, He uses the GTN750. Since the problem seems unique to the Lear, maybe a reinstall as you suggest would be a good idea. It also occurred to me I'm not sure if he actually installed the L35 into P3D, or just copied the files over from his FSX install (it that's possible), so again a reinstall may be the answer. Certainly seems worth a try. Thx, Al
