Hi All

Has been OK since day one, but now for some strange reason, start the .exe  and nothing happens.

Not sure what has changed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same issue.File does not even appear in Task Manager

Any pointer would be good

Using latest version

Thanks

Hello Clive,

try to delete the local files of the app in C:\Users\...\Appdata\Local\Lorby-SI (or Lorby_SI)

There should be one or more files and folders that have the "addon organizer" in their otherwise cryptic names. Please remove them and try starting the app again.

Best regards

Hi Mr.Oliver Binder

I've the same issue; I've checked the directory C:\Users\...\Appdata\Local\Lorby-SI and I have only a P4AO empty folder.

Try to cancel it and restart the Addons Organizer but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

thank you but I still use v4.1...do this work also on it?

Hello,

that thread has nothing to do with the simulator version, that was just a coincidence.

The issue here is, that it seems like a Windows update is corrupting the local files of P4AO.

If P4AO suddenly doesn't want to start any more:

1. Go to C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Lorby-SI
2. Delete all subfolders that look like this:
"P3DV4AddonOrganizer.exe_Url_a5pn3oaryjy2gl3kszytbhl2jttipq5v"
"P3DV4AddonOrganizer.exe_Url_dbjnrqsovdr5zl5cmoi4zc15yeatjyjk"

etc.

The cryptic part after "P3DV4AddonOrganizer.exe_Url_" is different for each folder - but all of them must be deleted.

Best regards

LORBY-SI

ok I will try but I'm pretty sure that the folder C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Lorby-SI is empty.

I will check asap.

There are two folders in AppData\Local that look almost exactly alike, but "Lorby-SI" and "LORBY_SI" have a different purpose. The first one (Lorby-SI) contains local appdata and can be deleted, the second one (LORBY_SI) contains your scenery groups database (if you have used them).

Sorry but I don't have any find of file called "P3DV4AddonOrganizer.exe_Url_xxxxxxxxxxx" in my PC.

I scan it with no success.

I don't think that you can find them with Windows search. These are directories, not files.

I suggest that you donwload the latest version of P4AO. Install it, then immediately uninstall it and install it again. This will clean out the local P4AO files, but only the latest installer does this.

I'm surrender....my Lorby-SI and I have only a P4AO empty folder.

Also LORBY-SI folder have only a subfolder named "P3DV4AddonOrganizer" with inside a links to unistall, exe and pdf tutorial.

Try to cancel it but unsuccessfully

I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what you are trying to do. You should not just delete any odd file that you find, that will make everything worse.

Did you do what I told you in my last post?

The lastest version is 1.28 b4, it was uploaded today to the Lorby-SI website.

yes I try 1.28b4 with the same result...I don't know why my situation is strange.

I've looked in LORBY-SI and Lorby_SI folders, but P3DV4AddonOrganizer.exe_Url_xxxxxxxxxxx there isn't.

Did you do as I said? Install - Uninstall - Install again?

Edit: and what about running P4AO "As Administrator"?
