February 5, 20188 yr Hi all: I had msi afterburner displaying gpu percentage and frame rates nicely in p3d v4.1 then it suddenly quit displaying. It shows in the opening load selection menu, but not in the main window while flying. It works fine in other programs also. Any ideas what may be wrong? -stampee Specs removed.
February 5, 20188 yr Author Okay< I just deleted the p3d.cfg file and now msi afterburner displays again. Must be some setting I have in display or window options is disabling msi afterburner. I will add one option at a time and try to figure out what is causing it to fail. Bug? feature? -stampee Specs removed.
February 5, 20188 yr Sometimes Rivatuner, the plugin that enables MSI Afterburner to display stats has conflicts with some 3D programs and games. Also you need to make sure it is up and running before you start P3D. It usually auto launches with AB but sometimes it’s bugged. It’s a purple display icon on the notification bar. Mine kinda disappeared as well after the last driver update. Had to manually open Rivatuner. February 5, 20188 yr I tried to get it to work. Had the same symptoms as the OP. There are a hand full of solutions around here at AVSIM. Neither worked so I decided to let it alone. Well possible it's a certain config setting but I am too lazy to try them one by one. February 9, 20188 yr It is a conflict with setting the Water detail to Ultra. When I have I set to Ultra, MSI/ RivaTuner OSD shows in the aircraft menu selection but not in the game. If you turn your water detail down one notch to high it will come back. Also, open Riva and create a profile for P3d. There you can set the size, position, and level of detection. I cant remember but I thing I have all the sliders to the right in riva
February 10, 20188 yr Something to do with the CUDA libraries I guess. I'd rather leave water at ultra than drop it just for an OSD tbh. Can always use Fraps or Shadowplay for FPS counters. I like FRAPS but I use the MSI OSD more for monitoring my CPU temps and GPU load when I'm tweaking my sliders after I'm happy I usually turn it off. I am curious to see if the 4.2 update fixed it. I haven't updated yet but soon as VRS publishes their update I will move to 4.2
May 6, 20197 yr I have RivaTuner installed as well. All I get is time when a game is played. How do I get the rest of the statistics to show. I have everything ticked but there is no option for on screen-display like the older versions. Latest is 4.1.0. Download source rivatuner.com

Wonder what diff that makes? Appreciate the help! Scott
