February 7, 20188 yr Please, I could really need some help with a small, but annoying problem. I see a misplaced windsock at YBUD (ORBX) in the middle of the taxi way. It is to 99% NOT an ORBX problem, that's why I am asking here for help. I have tried a lot and I am at the end with my wisdom ... Please, if someone could have a look at the ORBX forum https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/149427-ybud-bundaberg-misplaced-object/ all is described therein, but we could continue a discussion here if it is allowed. Perhaps one of the Gurus here has an idea. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
February 7, 20188 yr It is said that P3D 4.2 may be released soon, I personally will likely uninstall and reinstall P3D depending on how extensive the update is, not sure if you want to go that route, but as well as Nicks advice was over at Orbx, I'm not sure what else there is to do. I would like to confirm if you are using the Lorby-SI Addon organizer, and if so, have read and understood the manual. If you do not use it, it may be worth while to check it out.
February 7, 20188 yr Hi Harry, *IF* it is the default windsock at YBUD, drop this exclude (right click that link and open in new window or save link as) into one of your scenery folders and see if it works. If not, can you share the exact lat/lon where that sock is located? Edit - also, the fact you're seeing the default sock probably does mean there's a layering issue somewhere and the addon organizer Paul mentioned should help, but if this works and everything looks okay, then we're done, right? ;) [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)

I have tried your exclude, but unfortunately w/o success. Priority was below and above ORBX entries of the scenery library. This is really a mysterious problem. As I said, I already disabled all non-FTX add-ons in the library. I also disabled apx88400.bgl , the windsock remained ... Only when disable the whole default 1105 scenery folder, then it is gone ... Could it be sth like "exclude of an exclude" ... Here the exact position: S 24° 53.94' -- E 152° 19.19' @ Paul Maybe you are right and I have to wait for 4.2. I also could try a P3D repair of scenery. But, I am hesitating because of obvious reasons. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

February 8, 20188 yr I made a bigger exclude. Your LAT/LON was just outside of my box, so worth one more try. This does remove the sock from my default YBUD install... Grab it here [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)

This does remove the sock from my default YBUD install... Grab it here Thank you. I have not yet tried ....Now I WANT TO KNOW IT! Currently I run my P3D install with its very basic settings. Only basic scenery titles from [Area.001] until [Area.096]=1107 Base and the FTX AU/YBUD Scenery titles are active. ORBX Libs and Global Libs deactivated. I also replaced 1105 Base with the original one (From a Acronis Backup). Misplaced Windsock is still there. Unbelievable ... - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

Before I tried yours, I had replaced the complete P3D scenery folder with the default one (from my Backup) - The Problem was still there.Since at this point only P3D Default scenery and ORBX AU/YBUD scenery was active this means, that the ORBX exclude for YBUD did not work correctly and their uninstall-reinstall (of YBUD) does not work correctly either. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
February 9, 20188 yr Btw, you can rename that file to something more serious. "Barefoot" was sock-less joke... [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
