Analogue Gauge Lights

Recommended Posts

Anybody find a way to turn on the analogue gauge lights w/o turning on the floodlights?  Even the pressurization and CVR gauges on the OH only light up w/ floods on,

Seems the only way is with floods on, which isn't that great to me.  Looks as if the knob above F-DK FLOOD should be the one, but, has no functionality in my case  . . .

Yes, is a big defect from carenado,  the cockpit lights, except for the cessna 550. I don,t mind in a general aviation plane, but in a big one is a no-go for me..hope they fix it in next updates.

Just a general observation on Carenado's recent newfound inability to get cockpit lights right.

All their releases of the past few years have had similar issues - cabin lights must be turned on to get instrument lights, or there is no way to turn off floods on the panel, or both.  Repeated complaints by the community have failed to resonate with them and follow-up patches don't fix these problems.  Looks like the F50 is more of the same.

If you go back to , say, the V-tail Bonanza era, they did it right.  So they at least used to know how.

Just my $.02 worth

I've been editing many Carenado's aircrafts night texture files in order to dimm the fllood lights to a more acceptable level of brightness.

I did with the F-50 as well and I'm very happy with the final result !

I haven't posted any Picture so far but in my opinion it's without a doubt far better than the default flood light when using dynamic lights.

If there is anyone interested about it, I could email the files...

I have most of Carenado's recent releases which all have the cockpit lighting issues.  Promised myself I wouldn't buy any more because of it.  If your mod has fixed, or at least improved it, I would certainly like to see images

thanks

Jeff

I won't post any because I don't use photobucket to accumulate P3D pictures...

If you want to try it's actually quite simple: Send me a private message with your email address and try it. All you have to do is to back up your original files (2 of them) and if you don't like it, just replace the mods with the original...

Thanks
