Payware Helos

Featured Replies

Anyone know what payware helos are out there (links please if you have em) and the good payware companies/Helos are? One with good VC and 2d Guages like what we have in fixed wing airplanes.Thanks. I'd appreciate it.Manny

Manny, there really are not to many. Simmarket has most of them, best ones are the Aerosoft seahawk and the nemeth EC-120. There is such a small market for them and there are some amazing freeware versions which is why you probably don't see many. The nemeth S-76 that is being worked on at the moment should be pretty spectacular!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

Thanks Michael. The Aerosoft's SeaHawk looks good.. I liked their video (2nd one). And yes... I downloaded some Helos from HoverControl. Some of them are awesome.. Thats why I am getting into this. :(The only thing is ..their Guages are not as good as what we are used to like RealAir, Dreemfleet , Flight 1 type guages. ;) But still... Hovercontrol site is terrific for Helos. and with the upcoming FSX and its water textures and ships... this is something that could catch on. Another thing I noticed, flying helos around airport scenaries like Fly Tamp's airports is very very nice. You really get to see all the nook and cranies and you appreciate all the good owrkd they do. Flying in an out ...you tend to miss something things.Manny

I agree Manny, flying a heli at a detailed scenery area is a blast, the only way to fly. As for current guage technology, your best bet would be Jordans 412 or one of the nemeth helis. There are some great, realistic designs being worked on and hopefully with FSX we'll see even more advancments with heli models. I would love a payware Huey myself.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

My favorite, and the one that I fly most often is the DodoSim Realstart 206 Advanced. You can check it out here: http://www.dodosim.com/

quote "I would love a payware Huey myself."I am currently working on the Dodosim payware huey. The model is coming along nicely, custom animations, smooth gauge technology and hopefully more of the ground-breaking systems modelling we are known for.As this is a shameless plug I don't know if I can post screenshots here but I will put some on the Dodosim forums at Hovercontrol.com in the near future.

>Another thing I noticed, flying helos around airport scenaries>like Fly Tamp's airports is very very nice. I couldn't agree more! :) Get one of those georender wonderful sceneries, take a slow heli flight in the early morning from an airfield to a small cabin up in the mountains just in time for the sunrise. It's a wonderful experience! I'm glad to hear there will be another Dodosim quality heli! Can't wait!

I strongly recommend the DoDo Sim Bell 206. I fly it all of the time. To fully enjoy it though, I highly recommend that you have rudder pedals and seperate throttle. I really do have a lot of fun with the DoDo.Nick
