Scenery Libery Has glitched P3D V4.2

Featured Replies

Hey ,

I have noticed today that all my sceneries have disappeared from the P3D scenery library.

Also in the morning i uninstalled fsdt scenery and then all the troubles have come.

Dont you have a previous (old or original) scenery.cfg file in archive in your P3D folder (Program Data > Lockheed > P3Dv4 > scenery.cfg.orig)?

If so, you simply reactivate it as "scenery.cfg" and remove this problematic one after you uninstalled your FSDT sceneries?

You may also have scenery.cfg BEFORE such and such scenery add-on in file in that same folder.

This should not be a big problem, after you reinstate a previous cfg file simply reactivate the sceneries installed later on and you're done.

Thanks Jean ,

I haven't found scenery.cfg.orig file, but i have files such as Scenery_CFG_Before_Mega Airport Frankfurt 2.0 Professional_was_installed and etc...

If I rename Scenery_CFG_Before_ ...  to scenery.cfg the problem could  solved ?

Hello,

if you delete your broken scenery.cfg file and start P3D, it will provide

you with a new default scenery.cfg file and you can rebuild it from there.

Do you use the Lorby Addon Organizer for Prepar3D V4?

If not, you may wish to look into it.

+1  P3D Addon Manager has a really nice backup feature that saves a complete archive of the scenery.cfg and all the add-on.cfg files, which makes recovering your scenery configuration a one-click affair.  Especially important as the myriad designers move to the new config structure (with varying levels of success).

Yes rename your file as scenery.cfg and see if that resolves your problem. Then activate any scenery installed after Frankfurt and you are done.
