June 2, 200620 yr Anyone purchase & use this product? -->Concorde SSTSimAre the insturements fully funtional & realistic? Overall, what do you think?-=MAB=- Mike Brown
June 2, 200620 yr Brilliant but u have to be ready for a big (great) learning curve. If u like Concorde this is the one. website here:www.sstsim.com:) :)
June 2, 200620 yr Fantastic addon. Performs very well in 2D, average in VC.Learning curve is steep particularly when learning the fuel transfer system. INS navigation also requires some study (SSTSIM uses the freeware CIVA INS). Other than these two areas mentioned above the rest of it is not that difficult to learn. Should also mention that it hand flies like a dream.Mark. Mark CYYZ
June 2, 200620 yr Author For the record SSTSim's Virtual Engineer (or whatever it's called) automatically transfers fuel for you if you choose that option. I wrote a mini review on this plane versus the PSS version a little while back. SSTSIM is the hardcore version to get but if you want an easier alternative go with the PSS version. Look for the thread titled, "A tale of two Concords Part 1". Do an advanced search on 'two Concords' under the 'General Discussion' option here in these forums to find it. It will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from both add-ons...One very important thing to remember is the SSTsim version has had a substantial upgrade since I wrote that review which now makes it second to none in all categories. The sounds and VC have been substantially improved upon among other other very important areas. You know what, I'm going to make it easy for you and 'Bump' the thread. :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
June 3, 200620 yr I'll second that Les.Awesome, fantastic and wonderful are words that only go half way to describe what the SSTsim Concorde is like.Even before the PSS version (I bought that too, as well as Dillon) to compare them and the PSS is 'Toffee-Ashtray' when compared with the 'hard-core' SSTsim model. The sounds, the fully clickable VC view (Especially using TrackIR-4) is very, very immersive to the point of addiction to this legendary Aircraft.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Dave Taylor
June 6, 200619 yr Thanks to all that replied...soprry, I have been busy and couldn't read the replies till now. From what I have read I think I'll be purchasing this AC in the near future. The 'hardcore' type of system modeling is what I like. Thanks again!-=MAB=- Mike Brown
