March 17, 20188 yr pcpartpicker.com/list/2RgHNQ I think about building this, and then i saw this video: I will have a 1060 in my build, because i want to stay udner $2000. Will a 1060 achieve something a little similar to this? I know it's addons and stuff, but will it be able to be so good?
March 24, 20188 yr The big thing to consider is VRAM. I think the 1060 has 6 Gb whereas the 1080 has 8 Gb. You won't go wrong with the 1060+ cards. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FYmyfH Worth the extra $$$. Damn the crypto-miners causing GPU prices to rise. Edited March 24, 20188 yr by CloudSurfer
March 24, 20188 yr These videos... bleh XP11, like FSX, P3D etc, is still really CPU bound. Not as much as the ESP sims but still CPU bound. If you're at 4k, yeah go for a GTX 1080 ti. But a GTX 1060 with 6GB is fine for 1080P for any sim today, as long as you have a fast CPU (4.5GHz overclocked or more) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Also just watched a video on bitcoin mining and crypto miners... should be dying off as there's a new simple computer out that will mine better than those quad SLI rigs. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
