March 18, 20188 yr Like means - I like this post and the member is given a good or excellent reputation point. Upvote - means this post or topic deserves more attention. I agree with the poster this is a serious problem. The poster does not get an increase in their forum reputation if you just give the person an upvote for the post/topic. It's rather simple really but I find it totally unnecessary as it is very confusing (as you have indicated or would not be asking the question). It came with the site update. I do not like it. A "like" or reputation point is sufficient. I cannot turn upvote off. Sorry! Hopefully, if we ever upgrade to v4.3, this stupidity will be removed. We use most effectively that we clearly understand. Anybody else Like that? AVSIM is not a popularity contest. My opinion. I don't do Facebook, or the like, but I do buy their stock and have made $$$ off of the mindlessness they inspire. So keep doing what you're doing.
