June 12, 200619 yr Just thought I need to let you all know that CS released their AC-130E. The muzzle flash is there, looks cool! Regards,Stan
June 12, 200619 yr I have the C130 and love it and for some reason I have been thinking of getting this and I have no real reason why because it has no ability to do it's mission in MSFS. I will have to see. Andrew
June 12, 200619 yr This is NOT a plane you would want circling overhead!Wonder if there are any differences in the 2 and 3d cockpit?
June 12, 200619 yr From the features I see it seems just a gun 2d pop up panel and some changes in the 3d cabin. I dont think they are in the business of making major changes to the current panel. Andrew

June 12, 200619 yr Being a Special Ops C-130 type, I was supprised CS released an E-Model gunship. Just to let them know, the 919th is a reserve unit assigned at Duke Field, Florida. They never flew the E-model but the A-model Gunship before they retired them and switched to MC-130E's (Combat Talon-1). The unit that flew the test AC-130E's before they were converted was the 16th SOS. They continue to fly the H-Models to this day. The AC-130E was upgraded to AC-130H standards under project "Pave Spectre II" program. Just a little Gunship history for those who are interested.
June 13, 200619 yr The documentation for the CS AC-130 is a little confusing...the UI calls it the AC-130E, but the documentation and references call it the AC-130H...photos I've seen of the AC-130H often include the pitot static booms. Also, the sensor configuration seems to match the H-model as it was in the 80's, as far as I can tell. (I know, upgrades of military equipment can be externally indistinguishable.)I'm looking forward to seeing someone do a fully accurate repaint of a 16th SOS bird...Minor points, if you ask me, though...it's a great airplane, and even if you can't deal any destruction, it's fun to fly such a big gun platform. Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
June 13, 200619 yr I'd love to have the 3-bladed prop model (I don't know which model it was)! But, that would take (I assume) a lot of work to redo the flight dynamics...Seeya! - Paul
June 13, 200619 yr I'll probably get it just to do airshows in..... Same as I have a B52, B1B, F111 etc.

I voted for the Spectre - and I've got it :) It took the 1st place in the poll. The model you mean is C-130A, looks like she shares the fourth place with NC-130H and will be released after LC-130H (on skis), C-130H and C-130H-30. Your chance to change this :) Regards,Stan
June 15, 200619 yr Author >Whoo hoo! Thanks for the info! I'm gonna go vote now!>>Seeya!> - PaulGood luck :)! MC-130E would be cool, I agree! CS have uploaded the AC video, I liked the Guns most :) Regards,Stan
