EICAS message

Featured Replies

Hello I am currently in the middle of a flight from EHAM to KLAX in the 747 Queen of the Skies 2 and I am getting 2 EICAS messages which say

Satcom Data

Datalink lost

Anyone know how to fix this? I tried searching in the manuals but could not find the answer.

Thanks

Fly back into range of SATCOM. If you're out of the coverage area, you'll get a message about it. Yes, we simulated that.

QRH lists what those two messages mean. It would appear those are just advisory messages. There's nothing you can do to fix it. It'll eventually sort itself out once you're in an area where you regain satellite communications again.

I was flying pretty far north over northern Greenland so that was probably it.

Thanks

If you had simulated someone who brought me a coffee at cruise my life would be perfect 😛 black hair and  freckles would have been quite okay...
