June 13, 20187 yr For those users (like me) that have difficulty with volume control from various sources in Windows 10. Ear Trumpet is a free app on the Microsoft Store that replaces the default speaker settings with its own take. After install hide the normal speaker icon and add the new ear trumpet icon to the task bar. It may prove useful. Cheers, howevr
June 14, 20187 yr Thanks mixing volumes has become a pain no question. I do think that it would be handy if pilot2ATC had a volume control for the chatter it would make things a lot easier. Right now if you want to turn down just the chatter you have to increase all the other volumes from almost ten different sources including other apps so that the chatter is the correct volume.
June 14, 20187 yr Commercial Member The volume controls (Up, Down, Mute) on the Radio panel controls just the ATC Chatter. The controller voices have individual volume controls because some voices are quieter than others. Dave

Volume control in the sim is relatively complex. The addon aircraft vary widely in base volume. There are several places that levels can be set: 1) In the control panel properties of each hardware sound device 2) the Windows mixer 3) in each sound device graphical interface 4) in the sim, for each device and several categories of sound 5) in many of the sim add-ons, possible multiple places Seems way more complex than necessary. Dave, no action item from this post from me....just an "in general" mini-rant from someone sensitive to the sounds. 🙂 My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
