July 7, 20187 yr Commercial Member Hi everyone, I wanted to report finding this problem in case it might help someone else. Since installing 4.3 (and, yes, clearing the shader cache) I have had intermittent problems with clouds flickering. They seem to turn white for a frame or two then revert, but over and over. It almost looks like the lightning effect. Oddly, it seemed to only appear at certain airports and not all the time at them. The airports in question were FSX@War airports from the SE Asia campaign. The cause completely surprised me when I found it! What ultimately was causing it was an AI model! When I eliminated that, the clouds never flicker, when I add it, they often do. Looking more closely at the model (the Virtavia F4 AI model from FSX@War) I can see the landing gear is missing in game. So, it's probably an improperly converted FS9 model. But it didn't crash the sim - it just caused the clouds to flicker when it was in visual range of the user aircraft. If you have this cloud flickering effect, it could be a bad AI model. Or many other things, probably, but that's something to try to isolate it. Worked for me. July 7, 20187 yr I had this too. In my case, it happened with airports not 100% P3Dv4 compatible, so i stopped using them Zeljko Budovic
