August 4, 20187 yr Hello guys, Back in the days when I flew FSX, I owned the RealAir Duke V2 and Lancair Legacy V2, for FSX. When I upgraded to P3D, RealAir had already ceased operations so I never got the chance to update my license to P3D for these birds. Now on the website http://realairsimulations.net one can download the installers for these two products. My question is: does anyone know if I can download and install these products now and install them into P3D (v4.3) using my FSX serial numbers ? - Will that work technically ? - Will that be in line with the license or would I be in breach ? Asking this because the line on their website that got my attention is: This installer is provided only for RealAir customers who have previously purchased the Lancair Legacy V2 for P3D or FSX I interpret this sentence as "anybody holding a license for either FSX or P3D can download and use the installer in any of these simulators"... but maybe I'm mistaken. I don't want to attempt anything that would be in breach of the license agreement so that's why I'm asking first here. Thanks for any replies. Mathieu Mathieu Souphy
August 4, 20187 yr The EULA in its entirety comes up as the first step when you run the installer. At the end of that is an e-mail to the developers...it would be best to ask those questions there. We want to avoid the inevitable jailhouse lawyering that happens when a bunch of folks try to debate what someone else's EULA "really" means. Aside from the EULA, the installer may use the key to install different variants of the software tailored for the different sims...I have separate keys for the FSX and P3D versions. I have no idea if the gauges are universally functional on FSX and P3D v2-v4 or if different versions of the gauges are installed for the various sims based on the key. January 5, 20197 yr Is there no way for an old customer of RealAir to install the Legacy or the Turbine Duke? My installer won't connect to the server.
January 5, 20197 yr The files on that server are for the version2 add-ons. If you owned those it should work. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
