August 28, 20187 yr Nothing like the Caribbean, I have been to Margarita Island off the Venezuela coast and Puerto Rico, Fine islands, with fine people who will give you the shirt off their back if you try out your Spanish, which I did at every turn, poor as it is. I used some Spanish today at the checkout line in Phoenix when I heard the cashier talking in Spanish to her customer, made both the cashier and the customer laugh, it made their day to see an old Gringo like me try to use their beautiful language.
