G600 for X-Plane & FSX/P3D - New Screenshot

Featured Replies

I currently own the GTN-750.  It is a great unit.  It's only draw back is no artificial horizon, which of course means no synthetic vision.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking about, just didn't know you already had it in the works.

Will this have synthetic vision?

Can it be installed without the borders?  I.e. put it in and resize it to fit inside the borders of the screen that already exists?

And make it stay put for the next time you open it, so you don't have to keep resizing every time.  That drives me crazy with the GTN-750.

One more thing. In the GTN-750 both sides resize at the same time.  I need to be able to resize them individually. Is there something I am doing wrong, or you have not put that feature in yet?

Also, might want to include a feature to split the two screens apart so you can fit them into the Premier 1A.

Be sure to include the Geo-referenced approach charts and taxi ways.

What is your roll out date for the G600.  I'll be first in line to try it out.

@captflyby these are lots of questions!

Yes it will have synthetic vision, charts and taxiways (this is in the trainer already).

Yes, like all our other products, there will be a nobezel option, border color/size option and some more options specific to the dual screen nature of this device.

As for the window restoring its position and size, this is already the case for popup and popout windows. However X-Plane in VR mode is not allowing this and is always reseting the popup window size/position. This is an X-Plane 'feature'...

Window resizing is explained p5 of the GTN User's Manual: resizing keeps the window ratio constant which you can override momentarily when resizing.

Thanks RXP.  One last question.  Will the G600 have the same navigraph database that x-plane uses?

Thank you.

The G600/500 will ship with its own Garmin and Jeppesen databases. As a matter of fact, this is the same database as the one with the GTN because it comes as a pack of Garmin trainers which is including the GTN, the G600/500 and the TXi.

That sounds very exciting.  Do you know if the database will be able to be updated?

I'm really looking forward to this! It's been a while since you've said something about it. How's the development going?

Hi, I've posted a project update here:

Hello.  You have been teasing the Garmin G500/600 on your site for three-years.  When do you think it will actually become available?
