August 24, 20187 yr Hi, It is time to unveil the curtain a little more! A picture is worth a thousand words, so without waiting any longer, here is a recent screenshot of the Reality XP G600/500 in action! CAUTION: there is more than meets the eye in this screenshot!
August 24, 20187 yr Hi Jean Luc, OK, you've got me intrigued. You may recall I have a real world G500 (upgraded to G600 status) and I have never seen the "GPS" annunciation in the top left corner, or a "VNAV ALT" annunciation in the top right corner. I'm pretty sure my software is up to date. Rgds David Edited August 24, 20187 yr by DavidP David Porrett
August 24, 20187 yr Yours doesn't say "GPS" or "AP" either. That looks like an annunciator area at the top that doesn't seem turned on with your unit. I wonder why? Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)

Could be the way the autopilot interfaces with the G500 - there'a an additional box called a GAD43e that does the job. I have a KFC150 autopilot which handles annunciations like ALT, APP etc. Top right in mine displays climb mode such as selected ALT, VS mode and ALTC (Alt Capture) mode. Once level, the autopilot panel displays navigation modes. Edited August 24, 20187 yr by DavidP David Porrett
August 25, 20187 yr Author This area is the A/P Annunciation Panel and it depends on the A/P type/model you are connecting to the G600! It is possible no real-world A/P connected show the GPS indication, I don't know. Nevertheless, this is one annunciation among many others, like ALTC, CLB etc... Therefore, in our implementation, we had to implement the annunciations in regard to the X-Plane/FltSim default Autopilot modes. However, once released, it will be relatively easy for us to further extend the features in supporting typically found A/P, like the KFC150. Speaking of customization, we also internally enable the Flight Director specs pre-configured in the G600, as well as manual overrides. This among other things defines the F/D Pitch/Roll maximum deviation angles, as well as the parametric filters used to 'smoothen' the input data coming from the A/P (they are quite different whether you connect a ST-55X, with or without a ST-360, and a KFC or a Sperry for example).

Wow, awesome detail. I know those configuration pages well. It takes some time to fine tune the parameters once installed. We had a bit a fiddling with these when the GTN's were upgraded for user-defined holds. We had to re-tune my autopilot and for an old analogue unit it now flies a pretty good holding pattern. The KFC autopilots are still very good after all of these years! Dreaming of installing a new Garmin GFC 500 one day! Edited August 25, 20187 yr by DavidP David Porrett
August 25, 20187 yr Author There are other supported annunciations not shown above, like: YD, CWS, SR (smooth ride) And a collection of: PTRM, RTRM, YTRM, PTCH, ROLL, YAW (red and yellow) annunciations regarding the trim(s) and servo(s) failures. Please note all these show in X-Plane, some only in FltSim because it lags behind in terms of features/SDK. Speaking of details: I can see your photo shows GPSS mode active (the in-G600 GPSS converter). We are not enabling this one yet, maybe post-release. You might notice our screenshot V/S range is +-3000 (supports +-2, 3 or 4000 ranges).

September 5, 20187 yr This has been my most anticipated x plane addon! Hope to see this thing out soon. Will there be any aircraft with full integration available upon release? Ryan
