CTD ucrtbase.dll

Featured Replies

I'm catching CTD with faulting module ucrtbase.dll when on PMDG 747-8F entering  UKBB to ORGN actually standing at UKBB. entering UKBB anywhere else is ok. entering any other ICAO at UKBB is ok. Found on the forum that the cause can be messed up exe and dll.xml, FSLabs, Coualt.exe,  Carenado entries in dll.xml. I checked my exe and dll.xml they are ok, disabled all addons including FSL and GSX, no carenado installed, and no success. Never had such issue before. It happens only on PMDG 748F (freighter version only, pax version is working well). I posted on PMDG forum initially but was advised to write on this forum.

win 10, p3d 4.3

See the AVSIM CTD Guide, page 10. There's a Carenado module that might conflict when the weather is  bad. Disable in dll.xml. Could be bad p3d.cfd settings.  Could be bad OC. Not the PMDG 747-8 fault.

thanks for the reply. as I said above Carenado is not installed. Seems I figured out where the problem is. I think it has something to do with PMDG afcad scanning for Airport map display and something is not compatible with that specific afcad. I have already submitted a ticket.

Had this yesterday actually with the QW787

I had the same error in the Maddog when I landed in KIAH. First time I seen a series of errors like this before. I also had a coualt error along with the above. They all pop up after I shut down the sim. Only thing that updated for me last night before the flight was FSDT Live Update.

My understanding is the exe.dll is no longer used and should be deleted.  If that has an entry in it, it is conflicting with another .xml somewhere.

EDIT:  This is in the new default location of the dll.xml and exe.xml only.  The former default location (User/AppData/Roaming/Lockheed Martin/P3D has an exe.dll used by ActiveSky).  This one should remain.  But I believe there should be no entries in the exe.xml in the same folder as your scenery.cfg.  The exe.xml will be rebuilt if deleted in the default location.
