April 17, 20206 yr @tutmeister would you care to elaborate on the release process and what, if any obstacles remain? I understand if it's not possible to provide a release date at this time, though perhaps we can have an idea of the timeframe. Thanks.
April 18, 20206 yr Commercial Member Hi The hold up now is simply the current restrictions on everyone in the UK. While we have the metalwork and mechanisms ready, there are other components required that are being held up due to the closedown. For example, the packaging is normally something that takes about a week to deliver to us despite it being custom made and cut to fit the yoke. At the moment any order placed with them is pushed to the back as they are busy making packaging for ventilators. That is just one example but any supplier to us will also rely on suppliers to them and couriers etc etc. Some are still at work and others have closed, all depending on if they can safely work or if they are classed as essential. With the current UK lockdown being extended by another 3 weeks and then potentially more who knows how long this will take? When things start to reopen then we can get moving. The downside is that I suspect that when we do, supply chains will be overwhelmed and initial order quantities will be hit and miss. Just as an example, looking at all the biggest electronics suppliers web sites shows that components are not as readily available as they used to be with some having to go on back order. As we are the end of a long supply chain that, despite using UK manufacturers, still spans the globe, we are potentially going to spend the first couple of months with a vastly variable stock inventory. As a business we are stuck in a very difficult waiting game now but are desperate to get this yoke out there. So to sum up, it could be a month or it could be months depending how long we are locked down for. April 20, 20206 yr Commercial Member By the way I posted a short video on our website and in our forum. It is also on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Not sure what the rules are on posting it here as it's probably classed as advertising. August 17, 20205 yr Author Moderator Hi Chris. You’re welcome. One question. I have limited space with another computer to the left. Loosening the Saitek clamp and sliding the whole thing to the right is easy. Is the clamp on the Fulcrum also easily loosened allowing me to slide it? Ray (Cheshire, England). August 17, 20205 yr Commercial Member Hi Ray, the clamp is a single screw handle similar to the saitek but higher quality! 🙂 Edited August 17, 20205 yr by tutmeister Owner, Fulcrum Simulator Controls. fulcrumsim.com facebook.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols instagram.com/fulcrumsimulatorcontrols twitter.com/Fulcrum_SC
October 20, 20205 yr Author Moderator Two years and 13 days after first posting about the Fulcrum One Yoke I took delivery of it today. Reassuringly heavy and easy to assemble it exudes class. Recognised by Devices in Windows 10 without the need for any driver. And less than half the cost of the Yoko in a smaller case. Win-win all round. Ray (Cheshire, England).
