Featured Replies

Hello, just wondering if the PSS dash 8 available for download purchase or only by cd, Im really wanting a good dash 8.Thanks

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Both, as well as through PSS to get the download version as through Justflight and Flight1 to order the CD version. But if you really want a good dash i suggest you look here: http://www.majesticsoftware.com

The Majesticsoftware Dash 8 is a much more complex model with all the systems modeled. It is also fairly expensive at about 50 Euro. The PSS Dash 8 is a FS2002 model that was upgraded to FS2004. It has a good flight model, a really nice 2d panel, a working FMC, and costs about 15 Euro. It's VC is pretty dated by current standards. PSS also charges for liveries, although there are a few freeware paints available.Dale

On my system the Majestic Dash 8 gets great FPS , probably better than all my other Payware aircraft, much better than the PMDG 737.No difference to the default aircraft which surprised me considering the systems modelled. My slightly aging systemAMD 64 3700ATI X850 XT.

You might consider as an alternative the Flight1 ATR 72 (www.flight1.com). It is the same type of aircraft but is generally considered the best add-on in its class. You can also get FS2Crew for the ATR but not for the PSS or Majestic.Martin

Thanks ill go check the atr out. How bout the frames on the atr compared to pimgee 737 or lds. Im only very concerned about my frames because my system is low end. I have a P1.8ghz 512 mbram and a gforce 5500OC FX 256mb vid card. Thanks again.P.S with this system i should say i can run the pimgee and lds quite fine, although have to turn some sliders down its still vcery usable.

I have the Flight 1 ATR72 and she's a sheer joy to fly. NO frame rate hits, I average around 25 with everything maxed and I don't have a super fast system. The aircraft in nicely complex, but not overly so, and very stable in all areas of flight. She's one of the best payware aircraft I own. You can't go wrong with her.CheerioBob
