Without knowing what you intend to upgrade to, and how much your max budget is, its hard to say. We would also know what you subjectively regard as a worthwhile increase in performance.

my budget is £2000 i was thinking of getting a 9900k cpu and a rtx 2080 ti gpu its it worth getting that over what i already have my screen resolution is 1920x1080x32 i am using it for p3d v4

A 2080ti is complete overkill for P3D and a 1080i monitor.

A 2070 would be a better use of your budget..

What overclock is your 7700 currently running at?

Your current system may very well be all you need  :wink:

ive got it running at 4.8 ghz was maybe thinking of de lidding it and getting it to 5 ghz.
