Setup Error: The Garmin Trainer installer missing (resolved)

Featured Replies

Glad it worked for for you, How do you go about getting it to work.  I followed the link posted above and all it did was take me to a page with all the patch notes as to what it did or what it fixed.  Where is the download?  Do i go back and use the downloader from the main page and just do the full install again?

Sorry just a little confused thanks.

@William516 Hi, you might have skip the most important text of it all then, the 2nd line in the aforementioned discussion:

It is available either via Plugin | Reality XP GTN | Check Updates... or directly from our web site.

Where is it available on the website??

I will also try the plugin route as well but just in case I would like to get the download exe file as well.

Thanks

Bill

Well, where did you downloaded the e-commerce installer to get started with?

I would make it very difficult if each new version wouldn't be the one new customers download isn't it?

  • 7 months later...

I have the latest Garmin Trainer software already installed GTN 750 (version 6.62), GDU 620 (G500) (version 7.37)

Now trying to "install" the latest rxpGTN-750 along with the box checked to install and update the Garmin.exe get " Error - File Not Found (404)"

i have a new install of my GTN 750 in x-Plane but it doesnt work the power setting is on always on mode but the display is still dark the GTN Simulator also doesnt start with x-Plane

....Trying to install it with no success! Same problem, File not found, error 404 concerned the download of garmin trainer. I tried with the old installer and the new one, same issue

Hi, You're resurrecting an old thread whereas there is a more current one:

During installation, I enabled the option for trainer but it failed to download.

I have same problem.

I tried install manually (Launcher.Setup.msi ,GTN.Setup.msi)  but now I have this problem.

Hi, we've just released v2.5.19 update!

  • 1 year later...

Hello,

I have been trying to install a fresh copy of the RXP GTN 750 plugin and Garmin trainer on my PC, but I get the error saying the Garmin Trainer is missing. I am using the current Ecommerce installer and have had no luck with anything I have tried. Don't know what else to do. What is the actual fix for this problem?

@Logan1111 Is this error showing up during installation? At run time?

When reinstalling with the latest e-commerce installer (re-uploaded a couple days ago with support for the latest 3.0.1.0 trainer installer), and when the RXP software installer launches, did it prompted you about a missing Garmin trainer?

Edited by RXP

Update: we've now released update 2.5.28.1 with a fix for the installer bug where it was failing to launch the trainer 3.0.1.0 and was trying to launch trainer 3.0.0.0 instead.

I thank you for your patience with us during that time.
