I got nothing yet :(

I got it. Sorry to those who didn't get in. Maybe they will open more spots later. That's what they did for the Battlefield 2142 beta.

>I got it. Sorry to those who didn't get in. Maybe they will>open more spots later. I signed up on day 2 or 3 so I doubt it was first come first served. I have real flying experience and I am highly interested. I have been playing sims since FS2. So its not like I don't qualify. If this was some free deal I guess its not a big deal but since they took $16 out of my hands I feel I deserve some kind of an answer. Fileplanet is really pushing the edge of consumer laws here.

These Betas and whatnot do not represent what you are paying for with regards to Fileplanet. If it states that you will get into the beta, then you will get into the Beta, even if it is eventually. If it says "you may not be chosen for the beta", and IIRC, I think it does (or something along those lines), then there are no garuntees. They didn't really "take" anything from you. As harsh as it sounds, there is nothing in their agreement that states you are garunteed entrance into every single Beta the minute they are opened. People who are in BF 2142 know how that works. All Fileplanet subscribers eventually did get into the Beta, however, they were not all allowed in at the same time (they let people into the Beta in chunks, then eventually opened it up to all Fileplanet subscribers).Time will tell, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Question is how many spots did the FSX beta have open? Could it be that all the spots are gone for now and any new invites will be sent out once they have open slots? My honest opinion is that FP has sent out the first batch of invites and will send out the second batch in a day or two. I did get a invite for the beta and I signed up on the second day of the beta sign up and I know someone who signed up almost 5 days after the sign up started and he got his invite so i'm not sure how FP is selecting the testers. And the whole process is different then the BF testing because almost everyone who signed up for the BF beta is getting on plus the FSX beta signup did say state 'Subscribing does notguarantee participation'.

Unfortunately its still bate and switch no matter how they sugar coat it. They used the flightsim beta as a ploy to get you to sign up for the File Planet service. It s all good "if" you get the program but if you don't they are stepping into some serious gray area. I wish to speak with someone regarding this issue at Fileplanet but I can't find a reasonable way to send fileplanet an email.I just hope my email comes and I can shut the #### up!! I know for those that got it this might not seem like a big deal. However if you did not and you got dumped on then it hurts real bad.

I'm still hoping I might get an e-mail tomorrow. I wish to say a few things about how I am pretty certain I will feel if I am left out...1) Although it might not be much of a condolence, I think it would be a nice gesture on their part to at least inform you that you weren't selected, rather than gladly taking your $16 and then being totally silent.2) I have two accounts with them now. The other account is for a yearly Gamespy Arcade subscription and is due for renawal on the eighth of Sept. The second one obviously being the Quarterly Fileplanet + Gamespy account I recently signed up for in order to get a chance to be a beta tester. If I do not get in as a beta tester AND get the silent treatment(no notice that I wasn't selected), then I will cancel both accounts in order to do what I can to show my dissatisfaction. After all...3) The Sign Up Page for the FSX Beta is still up! Guess they still haven't gotten enough people to sign up yet! Kinda makes me wonder what's wrong with me?

You SHOULD check your email and private messages on this board! I sent you some information.

It's your sig Tinny. You look like you could be FSX beta trouble ;) Just joking of course. I have no idea how they are picking people. I haven't been picked, but then again I didn't sign up to fileplanet! I figure that I win lotteries all the time in emails I receive without entering them, so maybe I'll get in on the beta without asking too. :-lol Gary
