I stopped by Ebgames and reserved my copy of Flight Simulator Deluxe :)I truly recommend that u start reserving a copy today at your local game store. I live in a very small town, an hour from Chicago and they already had over 25 people on the reserve list!There was no advertising of FSX coming out at the local Ebgame store, yet the list was growing. I think FSX is going to be a big sell and from what the store guy said, depending on the reserve list, they will only supply enough copies to cover the list first, which by the looks of it will swell way over 100 by the first week of October!I only put down $5.00 bucks to reserve it, which goes toward the final bill, but that is all u need to put down now to have your copy when it comes out :)And good luck to all those who received the beta mail and let

I got the Beta Email and the file is huge, but I actually expected it to be bigger. lolOn the other hand, I think this is the biggest dl and/or game I have ever seen.

I'm downloading it right now. Still have an hour left downloading at 1MB/sec.

Like I said in once of my other posts it's possible that fileplanet is doing a staggered release, due to the size of the program.

"Opening" it up all at once could have pretty sizable negative effects for Fileplanet.Heck, even when the BF 2142 Beta started, many of the people without Fileplanet subscriber accounts who won their keys in online giveaways (which was very limited) were only getting about 30kb/s-40kb/s, and that was AFTER waiting in line to download. Subscribers obviously got it much faster, but not everybody downloading was a subscriber.

Installing now... That was one big zip file to uncompress.

By the way, those with spam filters:[email protected]'s where it came from for me, instead of the usual [email protected]'m downloading now, 3 hours to go.Of course, it happens when I get stuck away from home for most of the eveningFor those of you who didn't get emails:Fileplanet does have a record of staggering the release of keys to help smooth the load on their servers.

One more thing:Good job, ACES or Fileplanet or whoever did it to add an option for incremental downloads.A lot of people will be happier at being able to download separate chunks. I wonder if that's what they had an issue with setting up, as I've never seen that happen before.

That was an awesome idea, it sucks to download a huge file just to find it's corrupt.:-mad :(
